About Equality and Equity
There is an important distinction between equity and equality.
If we advocate equality it would mean we wanted to ensure that everything was equal, and that exactly the same amount of resources we availble for all.
Equity on the other hand means a recognition there is an existing difference in what people have and that resources should be shared in a manner which equals out any disparity.
