Even over the Summer Holiday the Library is here to help you with yours studies or keep yourself entertained.
The Library is here over the summer holidays, if you have studies to complete for the next academic year or want something to keep yourself entertained.
If you are coming next year to finish your course or are a member of staff, any books that you borrow from the 14th June will be due back on the 20th September. So you will have plenty of time to use them to finish any work you need to do before next term.
If you want something to take your mind off College, in our Reading Zone, you can find a larger selection of novels and graphic novels, including large print and dyslexia friendly titles. You could search the catalogue to find a new hobby or brush up on an old one.
If you are going away we have a large collection of travel guides so you can make sure you don’t miss out on anything when you are on holiday.
If you already have items out from the Library the next time they automatically renew it will be to the 20th September, unless they have been requested by someone else or have used up all their renewals. In that case we will send you an email asking you to bring them back or you can always check using the Library Catalogue. Please do bring them back as we still charge fines over the holiday.
If you are coming to the end of your course we will now be issuing books to the end of term or the last date we have for you as a member of College. If you think you are on a continuing course or have an extension beyond this date please contact the Library. (See below for details on how to this.)
If you need a quiet place for work we can provide that as well. The Library along with all its resources, study spaces and helpful staff are available throughout most of the holiday. You can come in and see us in the David Hockney Building from 9am most weekdays. Though we will be closed on the 4th and 5th July and the 26th August.
Trinity Green will be unstaffed during the summer and because we need time to get its exiting new layout ready it won't be accessible in August. If you need a book from Trinity Green Library over the summer, just request it and you collect it from Hockney Library.
You can still access the library wherever you are using Library Online, return books using the book box in David Hockney or Lister Reception.
You can contact us when we are open using the usual methods, email askalibrarian@bradford, Chat from Library Online and phone, 01274 088257and we will be happy to help.
