Do you need to find more resources for your assignment?
Have you been told that you need to look in more places online than just Google?
When you are told to reference something do you end up feeling confused?
Then there is an easy solution to your problem, you need to …
Every course has a dedicated subject Librarian who is here to
► help you find the book you need in the Library and recommend what you should be reading.
► guide you to the best sources for your work using the Library’s online resources
► show you how to reference any resources you have used correctly.
If you want to ask a Librarian your question or questions face to face there are plenty of places and times you can do it.
New from the beginning of this term there will be regular drop in sessions in the Skills Hub on the second floor of the David Hockney building.
For at least an hour every day during term time you will find one of the Librarians on a table there ready to answer your questions and show you how to get to any of our online resources or to explain how to reference that resource you don’t know how to. We prefer the questions are Library related but will do our best with any other question you have.
You can find a Librarian there
Mondays 11am – 12pm and 2pm – 3pm.
Tuesdays 11am – 12pm.
Wednesdays 11.30am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3pm.
Thursdays 11am – 12pm.
Fridays 2pm – 3pm.
If you are in a different building in College you can also find one of the Librarians:
in Lister room D4 Mondays – Thursdays 12.30 – 2.00.
at Trinity Green Library Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
in the ATC study area on Fridays 10.30 – 12
We will always try and make these times but if we can’t there will also always be a Librarian available in the Library study room in David Hockney during our staffed opening hours.
If you don’t want to talk us face to face just email askalibrarian@bradfordcollege.ac.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
