This summer we've been busy improving your Library - both the physical space, and online.
We’ve updated Library Online.
In response to student and staff feedback, and also because we fancied a change, David has worked hard to create a site that we feel looks simple, modern and inviting. Even though the site looks different, it works in a similar way in that there is the main landing page and then our subject and help pages. To find the guide to your subject, click on All Guides in the top right of the page - you can do this wherever you are on the site. Options such as Contact Us, the Library Catalogue, and our Quick Links are available from every page so it’s much easier to navigate. We'd be interested in your feedback.
New look calendar.
You can now easily scroll through our opening times to see whether we will be open in a week, month or even term from now. As we have new opening times due to the early closure of David Hockney Building, we hope this will make it much easier for you to plan your visit to the Library.
New Books.
We've added loads of new books to the Library over the summer, and also removed some superseded or out-of-date texts to make the library more current, relevant and refreshed. Go to our New Books page to see what we've added.
New Social Media.
Look out for our new TikTok page launching soon with short, helpful videos, guides and maybe some silly stuff too.
New video guides.
Additional visual help to find the resources that you need.
New look for Discover and LexisLibrary.
Discover has changed with a new interface and improved personalisation (so you can more easily save your research, set up alerts, and share information). For anyone studying law, LexisLibrary is now Lexis+ and also has a clean new screen with easier search and save functions. Contact your librarian if you'd like any support in using these resources.
