The purpose of the Circulation policy is to define how long library users may borrow items for, when items can be renewed, when they can request an item. It also covers the methods used by the Library to discourage borrowers from retaining books past their due date, especially when they are needed by other users.
Bradford College Library recognises that students can benefit from access to other libraries. Unfortunately the college is not part of the SCONUL scheme which provides reciprocal access to a number of universities across the country. The purpose of the Library Use policy is to define who can use the Library, the borrowing regulations, usage of library resources, and our code of conduct.
The purpose of the Library Collection Development Policy is to provide an overarching policy and guideline document covering the selection, addition and withdrawal of Library resources.
The purpose of the Distance Learners policy is to define who can become a Distance Learner and their rights to borrow items from the Library, including how many items and for how long. The policy also covers when we will post items out to a Distance Learner.
The purpose of the Booth booking policy is to define how long library users can use the study booths, how long they can renew them for, and how long they can book them in advance. The Library expects booth users to be responsible for following the rules that have been put in place in order to ensure that all students have a fair and equal opportunity to use the booths when required.
