For background on Personal Injury, go to the Tort section at 346.03. Most textbooks will have a chapter on Personal Injury.
Westlaw Insight is the best place to start. Click on the menu for Tort and select Personal Injury to find articles on all aspects of PI including different types of injury and claims, with key cases, legislation and commentary. You should also refer to the Judicial College (JC) Guidelines for the Assessment of General Damages in Personal Injury Cases which is the essential guide to awards of damages in the UK courts. LexisLibrary provides access to the most recent volume, published in 2017. It is clearly laid out by injury and gives you some useful notes on how the damages are calculated.
