How to use the Libraries self-service kiosks

How to pay your fines

Here you can find help on using the Library's self service kiosks to pay any fines you owe the Library.

If you have any trouble please ask a member of Library staff.

Use the arrows to navigate through the guide.

To make a payment first press

Make Payment


RFID Kiosk

You will now need to log in, to do this you must use your College card.

Place it so the red light shines on the barcode on your card.

Self Service Kiosk

You will be asked to enter your PIN.  This will be the year you were born as four numbers, e.g. 2001.

Then press


If this doesn't work, please ask at the Library Inquiry Desk.

At the top of the screen you will be shown how much you currently owe the library.

Use the number pad to say how much you want to pay.

Remember you fines will need to be below £5.00 before you can borrow again.

To pay all yours fines press Pay All

Once you have chosen how much you want to pay press

Now you can pay the amount you have chosen.

Put notes in the glowing blue slot on the side and coins in the slot beneath it.

The machine will give change  if you put in more than you owe or more than you chose to pay.


When you have put enough money in the kiosk, this message will appear, now press.


Then a receipt will be printed from the front of the machine.

Any change will be paid from the hole underneath the payment slots.
