This the Ophthalmic Dispensing Library Guide. Here you can find help on finding and using the resources the Library provides.
E-books
The electronic books or e-books provided by the College are electronic versions of printed books which can be read in full text via the Internet.  The College provides access to thousands of e-books  across different platforms.
 
Advantages of using an e-book
You can:
  • read it 24 hours a day 7 days a week, no matter where you are as long as you have internet access.
  •  read it straight away without waiting, for most of our titles
  • easily search the content of an e-book, including the text, table of contents, appendices, and bibliography

  • read e-books from any device with internet access.

Using E-books
 
Once you follow a link to an e-book you will be asked to login. This will be using your College login and password, the same as you use to access Teams or your College email account.
 
You are then taken to a description of the e-book, where you can choose to read the e-book online or download it for a set period.
 
If you choose to download you will need to download an app and set up and Adobe ID.

Finding E-books
 
There are e-books on many other subjects available as well as the ones above that you can use.

 

To find these E-Books use the Search box at the top of this page. Type what you want to find, click on the drop-down list and choose E-Books. div class="LibraryText03"> This will take you to the catalogue where you can link through to the book.
