How we make resources available for all users
Introduction
The Library offers support to all students and staff at College. Some support  is only available if you are registered with Disability Services or on a particular course, most though is available to everyone.
You can find about the available support on these page.
If you have any questions please ask a member of Library staff or email askalibrarian@bradfordcollege.ac.uk.
Learner Support
If you have  Learner Support plan with Disability Services you will be able to borrow books from the main collections at our Libraries for three weeks instead of two and have 25 renewals.
If a books is from from the Reading Zone you will be able to borrow it for tens weeks.

If you don't have a Learner Support Plan and think you should have one, please contact Disability Services on disability.services@bradfordcollege.ac.uk

Distance Learners
If you are on a course that only comes into occasionally, and is mostly taught online or uses blended learning you may qualify as a Distance Learner.
If  you are Distance Learner books are issued to the end of the current term instead of for two weeks.
We will also consider posting books out to you, if you live a long way from College and can't get into collect them
If you want to become a Distance Learner contact your Librarian or email askalibrarian@bradfordcollege.ac.uk.
Click and Collect

 

If you want to borrow an item for the Library, we run a Click and Collect service, where we will find it on the shelves for you and email when its ready to collect.
To do this, find the book on the Library Catalogue and then choose the Request a Copy link
We will then find the book and let you know its ready for you to borrow. 
If its on loan when a copy is returned we will hold it for you.

Your Librarians

Every course taught at College has an Academic Liaison Librarian to support it

Its theire job to buy the resources in the Library for those courses and provide support for the students taking a course.

This could be replying to an email or seeing them in person in a one to one session to explain how to use our resources or answer a referencing question.

You can out who your Librarian is and book and appoint here.

Library Academic and Practice Coaches
 

The Library Academic and Practice Coaches are here to offer academic and library skills to all Bradford College students.

This includes support with assignments, time management, note taking, exam and revision skills and IT skills support.
