Borrowing Books

Borrowing books:

You can borrow up to 15 books at one time.

Books can be borrowed for 2 weeks.  However, if you check your college email, you can borrow books for longer as we will renew your books if no one else wants them.  We will email you to tell you when to bring your books back.

If you bring your books back late, there is a fine of 20p per book per week day.

Finding E-Books

If you can't find the book you need:

If all copies of a textbook are on loan you can place a reservation, or there may be a copy available online as an e-book.

To reserve a book, click here for our guide.

To find e-books, use the search box at the top of this page, and choose e-books from the drop-down list.

If the book or journal article is not available from the library you can ask for an inter-library loan. Guide to requesting items using the inter-library loan service
