Library News

Half-term : 26th to 30th October
As a number of Bradford College buildings will be closed during half-term there will be no access to the Library at the David Hockney Building.
All borrowed items have extended due dates to reflect this closure.
Exam week : 2nd to 6th November
Due to the resitting of exams taking place the week after half-term, access to the Library at the David Hockney Building will be limited.
All borrowed items have extended due dates to reflect this restriction in access.
Using Bradford College Library
Bradford College buildings will be closed on a Friday (in addition to Saturday and Sunday) and students will be unable to visit the Library.
This means the Library in the David Hockney Building will be accessible Monday to Thursday, with Library support available between 9.00am and 7:00pm.
Online Library support will be available on Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
We recommend students use our Request and Collect service, rather than coming into the library to browse the shelves.
Any titles held by the Library, either physically or as electronic resources, will appear when searched for using the Library Catalogue [].
Although they are on display, due to the difficulties in monitoring their use, access to our print journals will need to be made via a request at the Library Information Desk.
We have focussed on increasing the provision of online journals and these continue to be available every hour of every day.

The Library is a communal area of the College and a face mask/covering must be worn by everyone.
Anyone not wearing one (unless identified as exempt) will be asked to put one on, to help us minimise the spread of the virus.
As you will know from your College induction, unless you have an exemption, refusal will result in the notification of College security.
