Visual Arts: Books

Introduction

Here you can find some useful books if you are studying an HE course in Visual Arts.

The Key books sections shows some books that will be useful for your course and New books shows some of the recent additions to our collection. Click on them to see them in the catalogue to find out more details about them or see if they are available to borrow.

These aren't all the books in the Library,  if you are interested in something else you can use the catalogue  to search  for what your are interested in. The books are arranged in the Library using Dewey Decimal Classification. This is a number sequence from 000-999, with each subject having it own number.  See below to see the important numbers for Art.

Whilst social distancing measures are in place to help everyone stay safe we ask that you do not take books off the shelves, if you find a book you want please ask at the Library Desk.

Alternately you can request a book in advance in person, by phone or using the Library Catalogue, find out how here.

The Library catalogue has Reading Lists for some of the modules on your course. Choose one  of the modules below to see all the books the Library has from that list.
