If you find a book you want to borrow on the Library Catalogue and all the copies are on loan you can put a reservation on it and this will stop all renewals until the book is returned. You can also reserve a book if it is kept in the Library stack, these will be ready to collect by the next day.
When you book is ready for you we will contact you using your College email and you can pick the the book up from the Library Desk.
You will now need to log in using your College number and Library PIN
Your PIN should be the year you were born, if this doesn't work please contact the Library desk during our staffed hours.
You will now be shown a Confirmation screen.
Once you click Confirm request , the request will be placed and you will by taking to the Reqests tab in the Your Summary section of your account.
If you place a request on an item in stock in the Library, it will be available as soon as possible.
If you place a request on an item where all the copies are out on loan, any copies on loan will not be renewed until a copy is returned.
If more than one person requests an item, they will be ready to collect in the order the requests were made.
When a requested item is ready for you to collect, the Library will send an email to your College email address asking you to come and collect the item from the Library Information Desk on the second floor of the David Hockney building.
